Summer Lab

Four Weeks

Summer Lab is $675 for the four-week session

Times offered 8:00-9:30, 9:30-11:00, or 11:00-12:30 

Preston Hollow Presbyterian School offers summer clinical instruction for children who will be entering kindergarten through sixth grade. Each child receives individual attention within a group setting through semi-private tutorials. The program is designed to meet the unique needs of each child. It may include instruction in reading, spelling, language arts, readiness skills, grammar, handwriting, math, creative writing, and study skills. Each Summer Lab Session lasts for 1.5 hours and meets four times a week for four weeks. 


Summer Enrichment Sessions: 
June 1-11  &  June 15-June 25 

Programs are $325 for each two-week session.

Math Camp, 1st- 3rd
Session I 8:00- 9:30
A fun, hands-on math camp with Mrs. Gibbons, a 2nd-grade teacher at PHPS, designed to build strong foundational skills through games, puzzles, and interactive activities. Students explore math concepts in an engaging, supportive environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving—learning by doing and having fun along the way.


Math Games, 4th-6th     
Session I 8:00- 9:30     
Math comes to life through games with Mrs. Bush! In this enrichment camp, students in rising 4th through 6th grade will strengthen math skills while playing engaging, hands-on games that make learning fun and low-pressure. Campers will practice problem-solving, number sense, logic, and strategic thinking through a variety of individual and group games. Activities are differentiated by age and skill level.

Science Camp, 2nd- 6th
Session I 9:30- 11:00
Get ready to explore, experiment, and discover with Coach Green! In Science Camp, students will dive into hands-on activities that make science fun and exciting. Through simple experiments, creative problem-solving, and teamwork, students will explore big ideas like motion, energy, and the natural world—all while building curiosity and confidence. Perfect for all of our scientists who love to ask questions and try new things!

Book Club, 2nd- 4th
Session I 9:30- 11:00
Mrs. Gibbons, a 2nd Grade teacher from PHPS, will lead this two-week session. It is a summer opportunity designed for students who are entering grades 2 through 4. The focus of the session will be on a special, interactive novel study. During the 90-minute session, students will read and study the selected novel together. The session will emphasize skills such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, and literary elements. In addition to this, there will be fun, hands-on activities related to the chosen book and plenty of time for discussions as well.


Book Club, 4th -6th
Session II 8:00-9:30
Mrs. Hatch, a Reading Specialist from PHPS, will lead this two-week session. It is a summer program designed for students who will be entering grades 4 through 6. The program will focus on a special interactive novel study, where students will read and study a chosen book together during the 90-minute session. The program will emphasize reading comprehension, vocabulary, and literary elements. Additionally, the program will include fun, hands-on activities related to the book and ample time for discussion among the students.


Fine Motor & Executive Functioning Camp, 1st- 3rd
Session I 11:00- 12:30
A fun, hands-on summer camp with Mrs. Gibbons, designed to strengthen executive functioning and fine motor skills through games, movement, and creative challenges. Students build skills in organization, focus, planning, and coordination in a supportive, engaging environment.


Fine Motor & Executive Functioning Camp, 3rd- 6th
Session II 9:30- 11:00
A fun, hands-on summer camp with Mrs. Hatch, designed to strengthen executive functioning and fine motor skills through games, movement, and creative challenges. Students build skills in organization, focus, planning, and coordination in a supportive, engaging environment.

Mahjong Fun 3rd- 6th
Session I 9:30- 11:00
Students will learn the basics of Mahjong through fun, hands-on games and guided play with Mrs. Bush. This camp builds critical thinking, memory, and strategy skills while encouraging cooperation and good sportsmanship. No prior experience needed. Perfect for beginners and curious learners who enjoy games, puzzles, and friendly competition

Readers Theater, 3rd-6th     
Session II  11:00-12:30                                                                                          
This program is a two-week session that Mrs. Hatch, a PHPS Reading Specialist, will lead. Each day, the students will listen to both traditional and non-traditional stories. Afterward, they will select a tale (or even two!) to act out. The students will create their props to enhance the experience and have a great time performing with their peers. By participating in Reader's Theater, the students will improve their fluency and vocabulary while also building their confidence in public speaking. This program is exclusively for students who are entering grades 3-6.

Minecraft, 2nd-6th  
Session I 11:00- 12:30
Join Coach Green and your friends to play Minecraft! The camp runs for two weeks, with 1.5 hours of playtime each day. This is a great opportunity to boost creativity, improve hand-eye coordination, enhance problem-solving skills, and collaborate with peers. Please note that each student must provide their own iPad for use during the camp. Also, students should be aware of any passcodes required to use their devices. It is not permitted to use other sites or other apps during this time. A Minecraft Camp is open to students in grades 2-6.


Minecraft, Books & Building (Rising 3rd–6th Grade)
Session II 9:30- 11:00, 11:00- 12:30
Mrs Barrett, Technology teacher at PHPS, is offering an enrichment that combines engaging read-alouds with guided Minecraft building and library time to spark creativity and a love of reading. Students use stories as inspiration to design and build imaginative worlds in Minecraft while practicing problem-solving and collaboration. Each session also includes time to browse, read, and check out books, helping students connect digital creation with meaningful reading in a fun, structured summer environment.

Sports Camp, K- 6th  
Session II 9:30-11:00, 11:00- 12:30
Join Coach Rosen for a fun-filled sports camp this summer! Each camp lasts 1.5 hours a day and provides wonderful opportunities for enrichment and recreation. Students will learn team-building and kinesthetic skills through a variety of games, including various sports and creative movements. Be prepared for exercise and fun! The Sports Camp is open to students entering grades K-6.
