The 2026–2027 academic year will be Dr. Nicole Bell’s final year as Head of School at PHPS. We are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment to the mission of Preston Hollow Presbyterian School. Under her leadership, PHPS completed a historic campus move, strengthened its foundation for the future, and stayed focused on helping students with learning differences discover confidence, independence, and academic success. As the Board of Trussees begins the search for our next Head of School, we look forward to welcoming a leader who will build upon this strong foundation and continue advancing the future of PHPS.

Head of School Search

The Preston Hollow Presbyterian School Board of Trustees is committed to conducting a thoughtful, comprehensive search for the next leader of PHPS. Our goal is to identify an exceptional educator who will honor our mission while leading the school into its next chapter of growth.

To assist with this process, the Board retained Educators Collaborative, a nationally recognized educational leadership search firm with extensive experience placing independent school heads across the country. Through stakeholder interviews, community surveys, and a comprehensive assessment of the school's strengths and opportunities, Educators Collaborative is helping the Board identify candidates whose experience and vision align with the mission and values of PHPS.

For more than six decades, PHPS has served students with learning differences through an individualized, research-based educational program that empowers children to discover their strengths, build confidence, and successfully transition to traditional learning environments. With the opening of our new campus and the planned expansion through eighth grade, PHPS is uniquely positioned for continued growth and innovation.

Our Mission

Preston Hollow Presbyterian School provides a nurturing, highly personalized school environment that cherishes and supports qualified students with learning differences while challenging them to achieve their full potential. We are committed to facilitating our students' return to mainstream education equipped with strategies for future learning experiences.

Our Educational Philosophy

At PHPS, we believe every child can thrive when instruction is intentionally designed to meet their individual learning profile. Rather than simply accommodating learning differences, our educators thoughtfully adapt both what they teach and how they teach, allowing every student to experience meaningful success.

Small class sizes, individualized instruction, multi-sensory, research-based curricula, and a collaborative team of teachers, specialists, and teaching assistants create an environment where students are known, challenged, and supported. In addition to core academics, students participate in enriching programs including art, music, science, technology, physical education, chapel, and, for our youngest learners, motor lab.

Our commitment extends beyond academics. We seek to nurture each child's intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development while equipping them with the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to flourish throughout their educational journey.
