An initial inquiry is made to Kay Burns. Psycho-Educational testing is then presented to the school and reviewed by the Director.
The child must present with an IQ of 90 or above, identified learning differences, and behavior and motivation in keeping with the expectation of the school. If the child meets the preliminary admissions criteria, then an appointment is scheduled with parents to meet with the Director.
If parents are interested in pursuing admission, they will set up an appointment for their child to meet with the Director. A classroom visit is sometimes scheduled. A final decision on the student’s acceptance is then made. If the child is accepted, dependent on available space, he/she is then enrolled or placed on the waiting list.
We begin scheduling admission proceedings for the fall in the previous October.
